Miami, Super Bowl weekend and everyone was on point to be noticed. If you didn’t dress to impress, you didn’t exist. Everywhere you looked there was a celebrity, a sport star, media, football fans with deep pockets…and of course, the girls that wanted to find themselves with the affluent. Walking about South Beach, people are generally dressed to the nines whether they are shopping Lincoln Road, sitting at an outdoor cafe on Ocean Dr, or standing in line to get into a club. With the Super Bowl in town, the level of fabulous was kicked up to death con 6.
Changing outfits 4 or 5 times a day is the norm. You could also tell who were the serious football fans visiting (dressed very casual) and who had flown in from Hollywood for parties. The daytime Hollywood bunch was outdressed. Miami doesn’t do sweatpants and Uggs or shlump-a-dump wear. Miami is always hot despite the weather. Hot, fiery, body conscious, figure flattering, Caribbean colored chic SoBe gear….always.
Wearing black in Miami is considered matronly. Anyone can throw on a black dress…it takes effort to wear color and wear it well. Seasons mean nothing in Florida.. so if you were wearing black, you better have been a Saints fan!
Remember, when traveling, the places you visit may not dress the same as where you come from. So, if you want to run with the big dogs…find out just what the “IT” crowd is wearing….morning, noon and night.
