“Without hats, we would have no civilization.” ~ Christian Dior
Hats, besides being functional (warmth in the winter, protection in the summer or just to cover a bad hair day) makes a great fashion accessory. Up until the 60’s/70’s hippy days, wearing a hat was the norm for both men and women. I grew up surrounded by hats, my mother wore them with great style and she passed the love of them to me.
Many say they just don’t look good in hats. I say, you may not be choosing the correct style and/or wearing them correctly. There are so many styles, play around with them..like everything, you have to learn how to dress your shape. In this instance, the shape of your face.
Work with your hair; Move your bangs off your face, see if your hair looks better tucked behind your ears or in a low ponytail. The hat, in most cases, should sit right across the top of your brow line. Make up for hat wearing may differ also. To balance the hat, your lips should be more pronounced. Cheekbones should be accentuated and eyebrows should be impeccible.
