The Grammy Award Show lends itself to be a tad more creative, sometimes bordering on eccentric than lets say, the Oscars. Last night I found those prancing the Red Carpet played it safe…and boring. I really had to dig for enough good looks to warrant writing a Best Dressed list. I decided to put a twist on it. Not just a best ensemble, but a look…be it hair, make up or fashion.
Fave Look – Make up, Hair, body transformation – Jennifer Hudson. She looked flawless. Her Versace dress was beautiful, but with that renewed body, I thought a form fitted gown would be killer. It takes a while to see yourself differently in the mirror and approach a new level of comfort when you lose a large amount of weight. I think Jennifer is still dressing her previous body. I give her a hall pass…Kudos Ms. Hudson.
Jennifer Lopez in a silver Pucci mini. Hot 60’s inspired look of the night.
Mya wearing a long icy blue gown by Jean Fares Couture. Gorgeous.
Kelly Osbourne in a short lavender Tadashi Shoji. Spot on for this show.
Selena Gomez donning a lovely long J. Mendel gown. Age appropriate and beautiful.
Kathy Griffin in a long yellow and gold glittering halter gown, designer unknown at this time. She looked fantastic!
Red for Valentine’s Day look – Sara Bareilles in a stunning red gown by Ghadah Paris. Love!
High Honorable Mention
Keri Hilson in a short blue Basil Soda dress. A perfect structurally creative, fun dress for the evening.
Katy Perry’s Grandma Ann – Wearing a beautiful Armani dress, accessorized with a bedazzled cane. She looked fantastic, and at 90 years old, we all hope to be that fabulous.
Love yourself and all that you are. Happy Valentine’s Day Darlings!
