A siren in the 1930’s.
Mae West was the original Bombshell, Femme Fatale, and Provocateur with a wickedly risqué sense of humor. She was also a Vaudeville performer, Playwright, Movie Star, Broadway starlet and a very independent woman. Her outlandish glamour equalled her outlandish innuendo. One of her famous lines, “Why don’t you come up and see me sometime….”.
I love watching old movies…mostly for the costuming. As you see in these photos of Mae, her over-the-top dramatic fashions were stunning. Back in the day.. her wardrobe was considered blushable! “Love thy neighbor — and if he happens to be tall, debonair, and devastating, it will be that much easier.”
Take time to look at old movies, you’ll be inspired and maybe see the path that was led by other women, for you.

“Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go everywhere!”. Mae West was so cheeky, you can’t help but enjoy her. “Ten men waiting for me at the door? Send one of them home, I’m tired.” Hilarious! She was soooo far ahead of her time.
“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” Touche’ Mae. Words to live by.
