I have admirered Emilio Pucci for the longest time. Wild abstract, sometimes bold color combinations, standout typical Pucci print.
Here giving you a taste of Pucci Spring 2014 Collection, with somewhat subdued pattern and color, and also rocking basic black, in short silhouette, pants, and long gown. Edgy elegance. Strategically sexy.
Twisted combinations, if you can make them work, and Peter Dundas did just that. Brilliantly.

To capture French flavor in one outfit, here is a simple guide.
Mindset: CHIC for Fall .
1. A collarless boucle or tweed jacket.
2. A feminine bow tied blouse, or a scarf wrapped about the neck.
3. A belt with chain or stellar hardware detail. The blue belt shown is also available in black, which I prefer.
4. A pair of black skinny ankle pants.
5. A pair of black heels or pointy flats.
Add an interesting envelope clutch, and a pair of diamond studs or pearl earrings….remember we’re keeping it French. French women don’t do big earrings. If your blouse is long-sleeved, push up jacket sleeves to 3/4 length to let blouse cuffs show. Accent with a bold watch and/or bracelet. Done.
Tips: After luxuriating in Paris, people watching at sidewalk cafés, taking the Metro, eating, and shopping with the fabulous locals, I noticed common threads in the French fashion culture. The jewelry (or absence of it) shocked me. Tiny stud earrings, rarely a necklace, maybe something on your wrist. Nothing overly done. Their look was all about the clothes. No flashy colors. The predominant color story was neutral, black to be specific and any hue in the black family. Scarves are a major component and equally worn by men. The women wear hosiery; beautiful stockings with embellishments. They also adore black leather pants with heels….even at the market. Luxe footwear and handbags are key to finish their look.
Get ready to sashay your Fall runway. Etre magnifique!
