It is beach day!!! Those of us who live in Florida come to understand the importance of keeping hydrated inside and out, and sun protection while spending time at the beach. The sun reflects off the water and can cause a fast and serious burn. Put on sunblock 30 minutes before you even set foot on the beach. A leave-in conditioner for your lovely locks while seaside is essential, as well as face spritz, lippies with SPF, sunglasses, and a hat if needed. Flip flops were made for the beach and the perfect choice to wear. One too many pairs of cute sandals get ruined after shuffling thru the sand…and wearing enclosed shoes can trap hot sand and scorch your feet. A cover-up, sarong, sundress, or towel is also easy to throw on if necessary, and to cover yourself if you feel you got too much sun.
Keep something healthy to sip on while you’re out in the sun because dehydration can happen quickly, so don’t skimp on drinks. Lastly, remember to reapply sunscreen, especially if you take a dip in the water or sweat it off. Don’t forget to apply sunblock to your ears, part/scalp, and tops of feet.
Have a great time and be safe!
